SMU monitoring the situation, including measures put in place at partner universities
SMU is closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation to ensure the well-being of our students, including measures put in place at partner universities. The University will continue to take guidance from official advisories and adjust our measures accordingly.
We have reached out to all affected students who are on student exchange programmes in South Korea. We are also closely monitoring the situation in Italy and are in contact with all our students who are on student exchange programmes with partner universities in Milan and Castellanza. Prior to departure, all students received safety and emergency briefings and are registered with the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Students were also provided with the contact number of SMU's 24-hour emergency service, International SOS (ISOS), and are aware that they can approach ISOS for medical and security advice and in-country emergency support while overseas.
